INTRODUCING ECONTRACTS
SIMPLIFyING ThE RESALE OF SERVICES CONTRACTS
With Motorola eContracts the Services sales process just got
easier! Based on the input and recommendations of partners,
Motorola has developed eContracts to help simplify the process
of reselling services to end user customers through PartnerSelect
members.
eContracts are electronic service agreements, offering a new
and enhanced way for resellers to place and validate end-user
services orders electronically.
This enhanced process will allow Motorola resellers to:

Sell standard Motorola customer services on a simplified
basis, using Motorola’s terms and conditions for service
agreements with the end user.

Aim to establish a direct service delivery relationship be-
tween Motorola and the end user.
•
Easily process entitlement/registration. Confirmation of or-
ders and entitlement is enabled through e-mail and the Web.
End users are not required to manually “activate” service
contracts purchased through this process – a significant
benefit of eContracts over ServicePAks.
•
Ease the automation process regarding the service order
and remediation procedure between distributors, resellers,
Motorola and the end user.
•
Easily follow-up on invoices and service agreements from
Motorola.
NEXT STEPS
To take advantage of this enhanced, more efficient electronic
services sales process, all resellers need to do is agree to pass
on Motorola’s terms and conditions to their end users. This can
either be done through Motorola’s partner hallway or easier still
by signing and returning the eContracts terms and conditions
document found at
to your

eContracts cannot be used in the following situations: where PE’s (price exceptions are
in place), for role outs, co-terminus contracts. eContracts should be classed as
non-cancellable.
WhAT IS AN ECONTRACT AND Why WERE ThEy INTRODUCED?
An eContract is a service contract that excludes any paperwork;
all communication is electronic and as a result provides a much
more cost effective and efficient method of processing and
providing contracts to customers. eContracts provide the same
level of service as Service from the Start Contracts i.e. Bronze,
Gold, Advanced exchange etc.
CAN ECONTRACTS BE PURChASED By ANyONE?
Resellers must also agree to pass on Motorola’s Terms and
Conditions to their End User customer.
WhEN ShOULD I PURChASE ECONTRACTS?
eContracts should be purchased when there are large or small
numbers of units to be covered under the contract, when the
start date is known, when no additions are required to a contract.
i.e. Pro rata billing or Co-terminus additions, or rollouts; and
when pricing is standard i.e. there are no PEs involved.

Full Reseller details including e-mail address
End User Details including e-mail address of contract purchaser
Start date of Contract
Serial Number of units.
WhAT WILL hAPPEN TO ThE ECONTRACT ORDER IF I DO NOT
SUPPLy ThE ABOVE INFORMATION?
Without the above information the contract order cannot and
will not be processed by Motorola’s systems – no exceptions!
ARE ThERE ANy OThER ADVANTAGES OF ECONTRACTS?
As this is an online ordering process the Professional Services
team within ScanSource can see the status of eContract orders
at any time. If all entries are satisfactory and meet Motorola’s
entry requirements acknowledgements and contracts are
delivered extremely quickly. The End User and reseller are
notified of the service delivery electronically. EContracts cover
all products that are on solution builder under service from the
start. i.e. SSB, SSG, SXB, along with Service Centre contracts
SCB, SCG etc
