POWERBROAD SWITCH AND WIRELESS WALLPLATE
The T3 PowerBroadband Solution leverages the in-building telephone wiring to
deploy Ethernet and wireless LAN networks without the effort and expense of
re-wiring with structured cabling. The solution comprises a POE switches,
Ethernet wallplates, and 802.11 b/g Wireless Wallplates to extend wired and
wireless Internet access to guest rooms.
The PowerBroadband solution uses a 25 port Switch installed in the central
wiring closet; and wall plate form factor CPEs installed over any RJ11
telephone plate within the premise. The key enabling technology is Motorola’s
patented Adaptive Line Power which delivers operating power to each wall
plate CPE transparently over analog voice and telephone wires, at distances
from 1,000ft (300m) to 2,000ft (600m)
ONE SWITCH
The T3 Switch is the core device within the PowerBroadband System, installed in a central phone room. Two GigE ports connect to the upstream
network; and 25 UTP (phone wire) ports connect to downstream WallPlates.
TWO WALLPLATES
The M2 Ethernet WallPlate has two FastEthernet ports. The MC-802 Wireless WallPlate adds a managed, micro-cell 802.11 b/g access point.
Install one or both WallPlate types on the same T3 Switch.
